Beginning Crossfit- my intro to Paleo

I heard about Crossfit for a while from friends that did it and was curious to see what is was like. My boyfriend Matthew finally convinced my to try Crossfit in May 2010...The first time I went I was pretty intimidated and left crying...The second time didn't go much better- I threw up and was sore for a week and vowed never to go again.

 The hardest part was that I considered myself to be in pretty good shape before starting Crossfit- I had a membership to the YMCA and was doing Cardio classes, Eliptical, light weights, etc. To me this was enough even though I was working out for over an hour/day and not really seeing results.

It was a little frustrating in the beginning getting used to pushing my body but now I get excited to see what the workout is because I know it's going to fun and challenge me. The best part about Crossfit for me is that it's not about losing weight- it's about getting in shape in a way that's fun and that makes you feel stronger.

If you haven't tried it I strongly recommend it. Crossfit promotes Paleo/Zone and this is when I first learned about eating Paleo. I have the most energy and best workouts when I'm fueling my body this way. After years of dieting and heavy Cardio it's a relief to have a regimen that is fun and has actually given me results.
